Taconic's Guide to the AACR Virtual Annual Meeting II This year the second part of the American Association for Cancer Research's (AACR) Annual Meeting will be held virtually from June 22nd-24th. While the in-person annual AACR conference attracts over 23,000 researchers in multiple fields, the virtual meeting attendance could be even higher with free online access through AACR's website. Topics that will be discussed throughout the meeting include the latest developments in tumor biology and genetics, techniques for the early detection of cancer, precision oncology, clinical trials, pediatric cancer medicine, and cancer immunotherapies. There will also be two special sessions covering COVID-19 and cancer research, as well as health inequities and disparities of cancer care during the ongoing pandemic. Attendees are encouraged to register for a free account prior to the start of the meeting on June 22nd by visiting AACR.org.

Virtual Poster Session

Registration for the virtual meeting will include access to an e-poster site that contains over 4,000 posters. Below are selected poster abstracts featuring Taconic models which will be available for full viewing during the meeting:

While the live meeting is a mainstay in receiving updates on advances in cancer research, AACR has done an excellent job of adapting to the environment we are in today. The 2020 Virtual Annual Meeting promises to disseminate many exciting scientific breakthroughs.
