Black 6 (B6) Mouse

One of the most used inbred mouse models, the C57BL/6 is used in nearly every research application, and it's commonly used as the genetic background for transgenic mouse models. It is also the preferred model for studying diet-induced obesity and the chronic experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model of multiple sclerosis.

Diet Induced MASH B6

Taconic is the first and only vendor to offer a diet-induced NASH mouse model off the shelf Taconic Biosciences maintains an inventory of C57BL/6NTac male mice conditioned on a modified Amylin liver NASH (AMLN) diet. Diet # D09100310i (source Research Diets) contains 40 kcal% fat, 20 kcal% fructose and 2% cholesterol and is an irradiated diet.

b6129f1

DIO—Diet Induced Obese B6

Taconic Biosciences maintains an inventory of C57BL/6NTac male mice on 60% kcal high fat irradiated diet. Taconic uses Research Diets industry standard high fat rodent diet, D12492. C57BL/6NTac males are put on special diet at 6 weeks of age and housed at reduced density. Control males are housed in the same location, also at reduced density, and are fed NIH-31M diet Control males can also be generated using a low fat purified diet upon request.

nog

hIL-6 NOG

  • - Super immunodeficient NOG mouse expressing human IL-6 cytokine
  • - Enhanced expansion of human monocytes following human HSC engraftment
  • - May be useful for study of tumor-infiltrating macrophages
  • - May be suitable host for hIL-6 dependent multiple myeloma (MM) patient derived xenograft (PDX) and tumor samples.
  • - Applications in research involving cancer, immunology, regenerative medicine and human immune system engraftment

nog

NOG-EXL

The hGM-CSF/hIL-3 NOG is an immunodeficient CIEA NOG mouse altered to express human GM-CSF and IL-3 cytokines. The model was designed to express relatively low cytokine levels, which maintains the long-term stability of engraftment by preventing the exhaustion of the stem cell pool. This stability makes it a flexible platform for the generation of humanized mice.

nog

huNOG-EXL

For researchers who want access to live inventory for immediate delivery, the huNOG-EXL SA (Standard Access) is the ideal model, particularly for experiments with shorter timelines or studies that must start as soon as possible.

Taconic's portfolio of HIS mice includes both the huNOG-EXL SA (Standard Access) as well as the huNOG-EXL EA (Early Access). Both SA and EA models are available with simple terms of use and are individually applicable for different research goals.
