1. General Policy. As an applicant for employment with Taconic, you give us information about yourself that we use to conduct our daily business with you. We necessarily collect personally identifiable information from you, such as name, address, phone number or electronic mail address, employment history, salary requirements, etc. To the extent you provide us with any personally-identifiable information, we use best efforts to keep such information as confidential as possible.

2. User Responsibility. Despite our dedication to protecting your privacy, Taconic cannot and does not guarantee absolute privacy. You are responsible for maintaining and protecting the confidentiality of any password we may issue to you. You are liable for any harm resulting from disclosing or allowing disclosure of any password.

3. Use of User Information. Taconic does not sell, trade, or give away user information to other individuals or companies without your consent, with the exception of investigating or preventing a security violation or suspected criminal activity of Taconic's services or computer systems, in response to a court order, or as otherwise required by law.

Please note: We conduct background checks, including investigation of prior employment, education, references, and related issues, after the applicant has signed an authorization form. Our application process may also include job related pre-employment assessment(s).

4. Cookie Disclaimer. A "cookie" is a small piece of information (a text file) placed and stored on your local system so it can later be read back from that system. Use of cookies is standard Internet pracice and a convenient technique for having the browser remember specific information about a user for future use. Cookies may be categorized as "session" or "persistent" cookies. YOU ASSUME TOTAL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR USE OF OUR APPLICATION PROCESS (THE "SERVICE")- TACONIC IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR COST (INCLUDING CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES) YOU OR ANYONE ELSE USING THE SERVICE MIGHT INCUR DUE TO YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. IF YOU LIVE IN A STATE WHOSE LAWS PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW. IN NO EVENT SHALL TACONIC'S LIABILITY EXCEED LIABILITY (1) FOR INJURY TO PROPERTY OR PERSON CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, OR (2) THE AMOUNT OF DIRECT DAMAGES TO THE PROPERTY OR PERSON.
