Deletion of exons 5-6 should result in loss of function of the Hibadh gene by deleting part of the catalytic domain (including residue K208 described as the active site (SwissProt #Q99L13) and by generating a frameshift from exon 4 to exons 7 and 8 (premature Stop codon in exon 7).
