Laura Griffin

Laura Griffin, PhD  LinkedIn

Scientific Portfolio Manager

Dr. Laura Griffin has been working with preclinical models for a decade and is experienced in choosing appropriate models for various research applications. She obtained her PhD in Food Science and Technology at Virginia Tech, where she focused on the mechanisms by which dietary bioactive compounds influence the onset of metabolic syndrome using preclinical models. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Plants for Human Health Institute, her research shifted to focus on the impact of the gut microbiome on the metabolism of bioactive compounds. In addition to her expertise in metabolic diseases in preclinical models, Dr. Griffin is also versed in laboratory animal diets and their usage in preclinical applications.


Phil Dube

Philip Dubé, PhD  LinkedIn

Director, Scientific Marketing

Dr. Philip Dubé is a Senior Scientist at Taconic Biosciences with over 18 years of experience in rodent model use. He specializes in mouse models for immunology, oncology, immuno-oncology, and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr. Dubé earned his Ph.D. in physiology and an Honors B.Sc. in pharmacology from the University of Toronto. He completed postdoctoral fellowships in IBD research at Vanderbilt University and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and has served as an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee member.


Christina Dernay

Client Relationship Manager

Christina Dernay is a Client Relationship Manager at Taconic Biosciences. She supports custom preclinical solutions for biotech, non-profit, and pharmaceutical researchers across the US Midwest, Ontario, and Quebec. Christina has over seven years of experience in biotech. Coming from Lawrence Technological University, she holds bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Biology and Bio-Behavioral Psychology. She is passionate about sustainability, expanding women’s health research, and innovation in biotechnology. When she is not working to help get you your next murine model, you can find her behind a sewing machine.
