  • Targeting vector has been generated using C57BL/6J DNA and has been transfected into C57BL/6N Tac ES cell line.
  • The cluster containing Mir449a, b and c has been flanked by loxP sites.
  • The cluster Mir449 is embedded into intron 2 of the predicted mouse gene Cdc20b (ENSMUSG00000078926).
  • Mir449c is located 206 bp downstream of the predicted exon2 of the Cdc20b gene. The proximal LoxP site has been inserted within these 206 bp.
  • The constitutive KO allele has been generated after Cre-mediated recombination by crossing chimeras to a Cre-Deleter on a C57BL/6 background.
  • The constitutive KO line has been derived using C57BL/6NTac animals and the Cre-transgene was removed by segregation.

GEM Collection models exist as cryopreserved materials. Models can typically be recovered and delivered to customers within 14-16 weeks after order receipt. Customers will receive:

  • A minimum of four (4) mice mutant for the selected mutation. In rare cases where the cryopreserved material also contains a recombinase gene, this may be reduced to 1-2 mutant mice.
  • Validated genotyping protocols
  • Animal health report. Mice will meet Taconic's Murine Pathogen Free™ (MPF™) health standard.

Please note that in rare instances (2%) cryorecovery may prove to be difficult, either extending timeline or ultimately successful recovery.
