Taconic's molecular biologists work in collaboration with our customers to develop the most efficient and accurate genetic monitoring programs. The programs are designed to work in Taconic's production laboratories as well as our customer's testing facilities. In addition to a detailed assay report, investigators have direct access to Taconic's scientific and quality assurance staff.
Several types of genotyping assays are performed. The choice is dependent on the gene of interest. Our scientists can help you determine the appropriate assay, transfer your established assay or design a new assay to analyze the genotype of your transgenic model.

We can transfer your assay and verify assay conditions for phenotypic and genotypic assays including PCR, Slot Blot and Southern Blot. Upon submission of an assay design form (click to obtain form for Slot Blot transfer, Southern Blot transfer) and control samples, our scientists will transfer your assay into our cGLP compliant Molecular Analysis Laboratory. Upon completion of the transfer process, a detailed report summarizing results of the transfer and verification activities, including digital photo records of electrophoresis gels, will be furnished to you.
