The RapidMAPTM; series are panels of PCR tests that are capable of detecting the nucleic acids of rodent viruses. This testing service is ideal for the screening of cell lines and biologics destined for implantation into rodents.
The service uses real-time PCR (TaqMan) technology and real-time PCR coupled with reverse transcription as an alternative to the classic in vivo Mouse Antibody Production Test (MAP test). PCR detection of viral nucleic acids offers greater speed and sensitivity compared to the MAP test, which makes it ideal for applications not requiring compliance with GLP/cGMP.
