Taconic's Rapid Colony Expansion Derivation offerings help you quickly develop a large mouse colony while simultaneously improving the health status of your line. By producing a large number of pups at once, Taconic's Rapid Colony Expansion Derivation service saves you breeding time and accelerates your research. Additionally, this service is an excellent way to produce large cohorts of age-matched animals for phenotyping studies.
Each of the offerings below will deliver a large cohort of age-matched pups while simultaneously improving the health status of your line. Each package includes our most complete health testing service (IHMS-52 comprehensive). The pups created through this service can be housed and expanded at Taconic in any of our facilities. Pups can begin breeding while test results are pending so that your project continues moving forward.
Rapid Colony Expansion Derivation is also available as a shipback service. In this case, pups are shipped to the facility of your choice as soon as health testing results are available.
Taconic most frequently provides a rapid derivation service in conjunction with the set up of a breeding project. For those customers who require just a rapid derivation, Taconic can offer this service as a Rapid Derivation Shipback. There is a separate price below for when a customer chooses the shipback option.
The zygosity of the derived mice depends upon the zygosity of the donors. Zygosity can be tested by Taconic, if you desire.
