Hudson, New York - March 25, 2010 - Taconic, a leading provider of life sciences solutions to researchers worldwide, announced that Richard Matacchiero has been promoted to Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Matacchiero previously served as the company's Vice President of Finance.

Matacchiero has led Taconic's financial planning, reporting, auditing, and treasury functions and has been instrumental in key strategic initiatives, such as building the company's information systems function and obtaining financing for numerous acquisitions and expansion projects.
Matacchiero began his career as a Certified Public Accountant working with clients in the manufacturing, nonprofit, government, and construction sectors. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPAs. His involvement in the local community includes serving as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Hope House, an Albany-based organization providing substance abuse rehabilitation services.
